FROM LAKE MARION TO YOU

Our Family’s Heritage

Growing up, my grandfather was more than just my grandpa — he was my hero, my inspiration, and one of the main foundations of everything I believe in today. His hands, weathered from years of hard work, taught me the value of craftsmanship and dedication. He not only worked in bait and tackle but also ran his own furniture reupholstery business, supporting his family and continuing the trade until the very end.

Our story on Lake Marion began right here in Summerton, South Carolina, where our family has spent countless summers since 1999 working hard, serving others, and living for the outdoors and everything this lake has to offer. From the kitchen of Goat Island Restaurant to the docks of Lake Marion, our lives have been built around family, faith, and the outdoors.

Wildoré Outdoors was born from that same spirit — a mix of southern tradition, small-town grit, and a deep love for the wild. Our store sits where the old Bait & Tackle once stood, a place where my grandfather and grandmother would rise early, brew coffee, and gather around a table with friends who over time became like family. What started as a small idea has grown into a space where locals and travelers alike can gather, gear up, and feel at home, carrying forward the warmth, connection, and community that has always lived here.

Our family has always believed in working hard, never giving up, and treating others the way we would want to be treated — the Golden Rule. That’s why we carry brands that reflect who we are: Fieldstone, Honey Hole, Goosies, MidWestern Merch, and our own Wildoré Signature Line (coming soon), designed with heart, southern life in mind, purpose, and real quality that can withstand anything the outdoor life — or your little ones — throws at you.

From deer corn in the fall and winter to one man boats, fishing gear, and essentials for every season, every item we bring in reflects the same values we were raised on: quality, honesty, and staying true to our roots while serving our community. At Wildoré, everyone has a place — and everyone can feel special while gearing up for the wild.

🪶 When you shop Wildoré, you’re supporting more than a store — you’re joining a family built on southern heritage, lake life, and a love for the wild.
